In the graph based on bogus numbers the lines were pretty much 
identical. Here there's a constant difference that never seems to 
disappear, and using the same random number for both nodes seems to make 
the difference slightly larger. I haven't simulated routing yet, only 
measured the mean distance between neighbours - I might get some more 
time over the weekend.
