...there was a 45 second wait while my browser just sat there saying
"Waiting for connection to 127.0.0.1".

Unfortunately I think most potential users would have given up long
before anything appeared.  There must be some way we can make the
FProxy page appear immediately, this is toxic for a user's first
experience of Freenet.  (I'm using Firefox 3 on a Mac).
