If it is not, then I suggest that it's broken by design (or the lack thereof). Ummm... It does. If you'd actually read the release announcements, you'd know that we insert a tarball as of a few releases ago. From the 1008 changelog: - First build to have its source code inserted along with the binary for the auto-updater. You can get the binary and the source, on freenet, from the following keys: Jar file: SSK at SIDKS6l-eOU8IQqDo03d~3qqBd-69WG60aDgg4nWqss,CPFqYi95Is3GwzAdAKtAuFMCXDZFFWC3~uPoidCD67s,AQABAAE/update-1008 Source code: SSK at SIDKS6l-eOU8IQqDo03d~3qqBd-69WG60aDgg4nWqss,CPFqYi95Is3GwzAdAKtAuFMCXDZFFWC3~uPoidCD67s,AQABAAE/update-1008-source Revocation key: SSK at VOfCZVTYPaatJ~eB~4lu2cPrWEmGyt4bfbB1v15Z6qQ,B6EynLhm7QE0se~rMgWWhl7wh3rFWjxJsEUcyohAm8A,AQABAAE/revoked (If you find this key, the keys are blown) I might move the above to update-source-1008 for consistency reasons in future (better compatibility with USKs), but if I do it will be announced with the build affected. I didn't reply to the thread because my Frost was broken due to a DDA issue. > > > > ----- Anonymous ----- 2007.01.30 - 14:59:13GMT ----- > > > > Ian (sanity) and Matthew (toad) have better things to do than to read Frost messages written by trolls. > > > > ----- Anonymous ----- 2007.01.30 - 20:28:51GMT ----- > > > > Like nothing. Ummm, like Christmas? I took some time off for xmas, and that dragged out a bit because of hardware upgrades, mythtv, and a bug of the biological variety (which are common during the winter months). > > > > ----- Anonymous ----- 2007.01.30 - 21:21:16GMT ----- > > > > Not true, they are off on sabbatical at the titty bar with Freenet donation money to meticulously plan the 'theoretical foundations' of the 0.7 network between lap dances. > > > > ----- Anonymous ----- 2007.01.30 - 22:40:07GMT ----- > > > > a) It's a new design called "Boob Routing". > > b) Ian is gay. The Freenet idea is fantastic, I think it can be the future global net, free and uncensored, but I uninstalled it for 2 reasons: 1- Nothing works on my machine when Freenet is on, it "eats" all available memory and my computer dies. 1- Never worked. After spending a couple of hours trying to find references I added 35 and 34 of them dispayed "Never connected" and the other one, "Busy". I find all the process very confusing and complicated; surely my fault, I'm not a skilled user. I'll try again when a new and powerfull machine take the place of the actual old lady. Best regards, and than you for your great work. gcf -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... It sounds very odd. The researcher on page 2 said he didn't think it was very likely that they can scale it up to 1000 qbits... we'll see. ----- aku at zXHaWG+kLKkd+kWTIIPLcB3mpv4 ----- 2007.02.15 - 04:25:06GMT ----- Unless D-Wave are total frauds or their science is all wrong, the shit is about to hit the fan for computer security. --- Rose says D-Wave plans to submit its results for peer review at a major journal. He notes that experts will be given a chance to inspect the system, and that the company plans to make its prototype available online free of charge to stir interest. Users would enter a problem to be solved, and the device would send the solution from Canada. And how exactly would users know that it was the quantum computer rather than a human or ordinary computer answering their queries? "There's really no way to convince a skeptic who's accessing the machine remotely," Rose admits. For now, D-Wave's device is slower than an inexpensive home computer, but Rose says a potentially faster 1,000-qubit version should be available by the end of next year. from: http://www.sciam.com/article.cfm?chanID=sa001&articleID=BD4EFAA8-E7F2-99DF-372B272D3E271363 -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed...
