I accept your point that routing load is more importaint that performance.
I'm arguing that the argument that intentionally under utilizing certain
certain nodes (for instance, not assigning a larger area of keyspace to
more powerful nodes), isn't necessarily the best choice.
I conceed about Ubernodes, and will concentrate on arguing against a
darknet-only model ;)
That said, I'd be happy to give up on EVER running an ubernode, or ever
suggesting one was done, if we could have a Opennet over Darknet, as I
suggested in my last e-mail.
Note, The opennnet over darknet sounds surprisingly similiar to what Oskar
is arguing could work.
"Nodes that aren't worried about whoom they talk to can use destination
sampling (like old Freenet, but with forced specialization)."
It's still .7 style links, it's just less discriminate ;)
